Terms & Conditions of Hire
Booking/Hire Fees
Fully refundable deposit is required within 7 days of the written confirmed booking.
Payment in full is required 7 days before the actual hire date.
All cheques are to be in the name of the hirer.
Children under the age of 18 may not hire costumes without their parents’ consent.
Hire Period
The hire period is from the day before your event to the day following your event, if you hire requires courier delivery and your event falls on a weekend then the hire period will be from the preceding Friday through to Monday collection.
Extended hire is available, by prior arrangement with JennysJumps, at a standard cost of £30.00 per day and per costume in addition to the initial hire fee.
Once costumes have left our possession they are the hirer’s responsibility/risk until JennysJumps receives them back.
Non-Delivered or Courier Returns
Our couriers will deliver the costume to the delivery address specfied in the invoice. If the delivery fails due to no answer our couriers may attempt to deliver the parcel on the following day, however, if the parcel is rejected by the recipient then the costume will be returned to JennysJumps. Unfortunately we cannot refund delivery costs and hire costs for rejected deliveries; this is because we may have turned down several bookings for your hire period.
Collections
Our couriers will collect the costume the day after your event or Monday for weekend hires. Customers must ask for and retain the receipt from the courier. All of our parcels are fully insured with our couriers but a valid receipt must be retained on collection in order to claim insurance. In the rare event that a parcel is lost in transit, we must claim against our couriers insurers and the collection receipt is essential for this process. Failure to supply a receipt in the event of a lost parcel will result in the full amount of the costume being billed to the hirer.
Cancellations/Non-Collection
Deposits are fully refundable if cancellation occurs before 28 days of the hire period.
Hire costs are fully refundable if cancellation occurs before 7 days of the hire period.
Deposits are not refundable for non-collection or cancellations within 28 days of the hire period. (At JennysJumps discretion this term may be waived in extreme circumstances).
Late Returns
An item is deemed late if it is returned after 5:30pm on the day noted on the hire agreement.
Late returns will be charged at the penalty rate of £10.00 per day per item for each day, or part thereof, item(s) are retained after the agreed hire date and so long as no further hires are lost due to the late return. In the event of JennysJumps losing a hire due to the late return a further full hire cost will be charged in addition to the penalty rate.
Courier status of "Nothing to collect" or "Refused Acceptance" will be treated in the same way as late returns.
Deposit
A deposit is required, in addition to the hire fee, to cover costs in the event of loss or damage to hired items. We prefer this to be by way of PayPal or BACS in which case the money will be refunded unless the item is returned damaged or lost. Accepting JennysJumps terms and conditions and providing your payment to us for the purpose of security deposit authorises JennysJumps to debit that deposit in the event of loss or damage.
We can also accept cheques supported by valid guarantee cards, or cash. All cheques are to be in the name of the hirer. In the case of the deposit being paid by cheque or cash, the money will be deposited securely and will be refunded in full once the return of the hired goods are checked for damage and within the agreed period.
The deposit does not cover the full replacement cost of the costume. We reserve the right to charge up to the full replacement cost of any item plus an administrative fee of £5.00.
Deposits must be paid prior to the hire goods leaving the depot.
Fitness For Purpose
Loss or damage not notified to us until the end of the hire period will be considered as having occurred within the hire period and the deposit in whole/or part will be forfeit.
JennysJumps reserve the right to supply a suitable alternative in the event of loss or damage to the reserved costume occurring between the booking being made and the hire date. We will however notify to this effect as soon as possible.
Variations
No variations to these terms or conditions will be considered effective unless agreed in writing by a Director of JennysJumps.
Statutory Rights and Resolution. It is not our intention to infringe the statutory rights of any of our customers at any time. In the event of conflict between our terms and conditions and English Law, then English Law will take precedence.
Terms & Conditions of Sale
Methods of Payment
Please note we will only ship the goods when we have cleared funds in our bank. We accept payment by:

•Direct Bank Transfer (please email to accounts@jennysjumps.co.uk for details)
•British Postal Money Orders
•Personal Cheque on UK bank made payable to JennysJumps
•Cash (GBP)
PLEASE NOTE We do not accept responsibility if cash is sent in the post. (If you insist on sending cash we recommend you send it by Recorded Delivery, but it is entirely at YOUR OWN RISK).
Postage & Packaging
We will ship goods to the UK.
We always use new packaging materials and take every precaution to prevent damage in delivery, however we cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss in transit. If our couriers damage or lose the parcel in transit then we will be notified by them and as a result we will claim against our insurance, however any signed for goods will be deemed delivered.
Customer Service & Return policy
We accept returns by prior arrangement, of faulty goods, or goods not as described, but they must be sent unused and in the original packaging. We will issue a refund of the item hire price only.
Distance Selling Regulations
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 the Customer has the right to cancel the order provided notice of cancellation is given to JennysJumps Costume Hire within 7 working days and the Customer acts in accordance with these terms and conditions, provided that JennysJumps Costume Hire has not commenced providing the services to be supplied under this Agreement, in which event this right shall lapse. Cancellation must be notified in writing and is only effective when JennysJumps Costume Hire confirm it to the Customer in writing. The Customer does not need to state the reason for cancellation nor will there be any penalty payable. Once JennysJumps Costume Hire have accepted the Customer's cancellation, any payment received will be refunded within 30 days.
Pricing
We endeavour to display correct pricing and description at all times. However in the event of an error JennysJumps reserves the right to refuse the sale of mis-described or mis-priced products.
Sales Tax
For customers within the UK and EEC, JennysJumps will provide a proforma invoice if required. No admin charges will be incurred.
Delivery Schedule
Goods are normally shipped two days before your event and should arrive one the day before your event start.
Potential Consequential Loss
The vast majority of orders are delivered on time and without difficulty. Unfortunately errors can occur, particularly with delivery agents, and we will always do our best to rectify any problems. Unfortunately, we cannot take any responsibility for the carrier or the consequences of late arrival, non-arrival or any other problems with your order. We will always try to obtain a proof of shipment and will assist the buyer in any claim on the carrier.If you cannot accept this, please call us and we will cancel your order and give an immediate refund.

JennysJumps does not disclose buyers information to third parties. All information gathered including any information given at the time of ordering is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The information collected will only be used to process your current order, if applicable.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
